As President and CEO of The Daniele Company, Gloria is a highly experienced professional and accomplished construction executive with more than 25 years in building construction and project management as a general contractor and construction manager. Gloria has led the company in transforming visions into reality for its clients through Relationship Integrity, Execution Excellence, Superior Customer Service and Safety First. Her tenure as Vice President Team Leader in the Real Estate Finance Division of a major Chicago bank established the foundation for her journey in construction financing major developers.
Over the past 12 years, a key business strategy has been collaborative partnerships with select major construction companies and owners that has allowed the company to build capacity and complete over $560 million in projects targeted in K-12 and higher education, healthcare and life sciences, governmental institutions, and manufacturing concerns focused in pharmaceutical, automotive and aviation construction.
Building Tier-One relationships with BMW Manufacturing, Honda, Merck, Wake County Schools, Durham County, City of Durham, UNC Chapel Hill and others has propelled the company to new heights of accomplishment. Gloria is known for her integrity, professionalism, strategic planning and execution, and the ability to engage issues and identify effective solutions. Her comprehensive experience in structuring, managing and completing a variety of construction projects reflects her ability to implement projects from concept to completion through critical needs assessment, project administration, schedule and budget management.
She served as the first woman President of the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC), a 48 year old construction trade association from 2012 – 2015 and was inducted into NAMC’s Hall of Fame, the organization’s highest honor of distinction. Her leadership broadened NAMC’s exposure by building new relationships national programming to expand economic inclusion. She is also a founding member and former Chair of the North Carolina Chapter of NAMC, United Minority Contractors of North Carolina (UMCNC). Gloria is currently on several boards including Emerald Cities Collaborative, Downtown Durham, Inc., Triangle Park Chapter of The Links, Inc., UMCNC and NCA&T Construction Management Advisory Board.
She has received numerous honors and awards for her business leadership, community service, construction excellence, championing women businesses, commitment to diverse inclusion and economic parity. In recognition of these attributes, Gloria was honored as the 2018 Woman of the Year by the Greater Durham Black Chamber of Commerce.
The native North Carolinian holds both a B.A. in Political Science and a M.P.A. concentrating in Housing and Urban Development from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
